Fengqi You wins 2018 ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering Lectureship Award

This is the 3rd major international award that Professor You has received recently, in addition to the 2017 AIChE Environmental Division Early Career Award and the 2017 AIChE Sustainable Engineering Research Excellence Award.

Fengqi You, the Roxanne E. and Michael J. Zak Professor, was named a recipient of the prestigious 2018 ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering Lectureship Award. This award recognizes and honors scientists, who are doing exceptional research that impacts sustainability, green chemistry, and green engineering. This award specifically honors Professor You’s research contributions in process systems engineering, sustainability analytics, and life cycle optimization of supply chains.

The American Chemical Society (ACS) has more than 158,000 members in all fields of chemistry, chemical engineering, and related fields, and it is the world’s largest scientific society by membership. The winners of this award are selected from exceptional candidates from around the world. To reflect the global scope of ACS, one recipient is chosen from each of the following three regions across the world: The Americas, Europe/Middle East/Africa, and Asia/Pacific. Professor You was selected as the award winner from the Americas region. The award will be presented to Professor You in a special award symposium at the 255th ACS National Meeting in New Orleans, LA (March 18-22, 2018) to honor his research contributions.
