Biography

Xinlai Liu was a Ph.D. Student at the University of Hong Kong, during his last three years, he has participated in research projects using cutting-edge technologies, such as a blockchain, digital twin, and Internet of Things. Xinlai admits that each project is full of challenges to succeed; the pleasure and inspiration he has gained from these all-in-times are unmeasurable. Luckily, with the kind and patient guide of his past supervisor, George Q. Huang, he learned how to write project proposals, manage project schedules, publish research papers, and earn valuable research experience. Xinlai Liu is interested in the interface between the industrial blockchain & digital twin application for transformation towards a trustable, smart, and sustainable industry (e.g., production, urban, and transportation). Xinlai aims to become a sustainable scientist, with the goal of exploring and enabling technologies and innovative solutions and turning these findings into a book about data-driven sustainability analytics.
