Go to the Cornell School of Continuing Education and Summer Sessions website at https://www.sce.cornell.edu/pt/register/regular.php.

Only extramural students should apply for the Six Sigma (SYSEN 5300) course using the Continuing Education website.

In order to get the Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, you must register in SYSEN 5300 for 3 credits and earn a B+ or better if you wish to take the course in the distance learning format.

In order to get the Six Sigma Black Belt Certification, you must register in SYSEN 5300 for 4 credits and earn a B+ or better if you wish to take the course in the distance learning format.

Six Sigma continuous improvement based on a statistical measure of variability. The Six Sigma method is based on the DMAIC model:

  • The cost is per credit hour and changes each fall. Please contact the Systems Engineering department for an updated tuition figure.
  • This course is currently being offered in Fall 2018. The duration is the entire semester. Please refer to CU academic calendar for these dates.
  • The number of hours required per week to be successful in the program is approximately a minimum of 3-5 hours per week, in addition to the class time.
  • Prerequisites include a course in probability and statistics.
