Biography

Minghui Cheng is a postdoctoral associate working with Prof. Oliver Gao. His current research focuses on developing digital twins for civil infrastructure to assist in moving towards more sustainable and resilient cities.

Dr. Cheng obtained his Ph.D. in structural engineering from Lehigh University in 2021 under the supervision of Prof. Dan Frangopol. His Ph.D. research was mainly on uncertainty quantification, life-cycle management, and decision-making under uncertainty with applications to bridges, ships and transportation networks. He received his B.E. in civil engineering from Hunan University, China, and ranked first out of around 300 students in the department.
