Biography

Systems engineering is a way of thinking and my approach to problems. As a past Lockheed Martin systems engineer and architect, Air Force officer, and currently a lecturer with Cornell University Systems Engineering, systems thinking is in my blood.

With over 35 years SE and military operational experience, modeling systems using Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and Systems Modeling Language (SysML) at MITRE Corporation, U.S. Strategic Command (previously SAC HQ), has given me a broad scope of experience. My desire now is to encourage others, pass this experience on to the future systems engineers, and keep exploring this dynamic field.

Accomplishments are Lockheed Martin Qualified Systems Engineer, FEAC Certified DoDAF Modeler, M.S. Computer Information Systems from Bellevue (Neb.) University, M.S. Systems Management from University of Southern California, B.S. in Business Administration Management from California State University, Long Beach, U.S.A.F. Major (retired), Wing and Command Staff Officer, Instructor/Evaluator B-52 Radar Navigator, and currently INCOSE Finger Lakes Chapter treasurer, and Broome West Gideons International Camp treasurer and speaker
